The Ajora MCP server: connect your phone calls to Claude and ChatGPT

You spend the day on the phone, and afterwards the outcome of those calls sits in Ajora. With the MCP connection you can simply ask about them from Claude or ChatGPT: "what did I agree with Peter yesterday?" You get an answer based on your own calls, without copying anything across. Here is how to switch it on and what the AI does and does not get to see.

In short

Paste https://debrief.ajora.io/api/mcp into Claude or ChatGPT as a connector, sign in with your Ajora account and approve the access. From then on the AI can look up your calls, summaries and action items. Transcripts stay closed until you release them separately.

What is MCP?

MCP stands for Model Context Protocol: a standard way to give an AI assistant access to a tool you already use. The Ajora MCP server gives Claude or ChatGPT access to your phone calls. Once it is on, the AI looks up your calls by itself whenever you ask about them.

Think of it as adding a contact to a group chat. You tell Claude once where Ajora lives and what it is allowed to see. After that you never paste anything again: ask something about a call and it fetches the answer itself.

The protocol is not ours. It is an open standard Anthropic published in November 2024, now supported by Claude, ChatGPT and a growing list of other tools. We only provide the connection to Ajora.

What can you ask once it is connected?

Anything you would otherwise have to dig through your own calls for. You ask in plain language and Claude or ChatGPT looks it up in your Ajora account.

  • "What did I agree with Peter this week?"
  • "Which action items from last week have I not finished yet?"
  • "Summarise my calls with this number since June."
  • "What was decided in my calls yesterday?"
  • "Draft a follow-up email based on my call this afternoon."

The difference with searching in the app yourself: the AI can read several calls in a row and make something new out of them, such as an email, a list or an overview per customer. It does fetch those calls one by one, so a question with a period, a phone number or a customer in it works better than a question about every call you ever had.

Connecting Ajora to Claude

You need an Ajora account and a Claude account. Connecting takes a minute and you only do it once.

  1. Get the connection link from Ajora

In the dashboard at debrief.ajora.io, go to Settings → Integrations and click Connect next to Claude. You then see the MCP link, with a copy button next to it. The link is https://debrief.ajora.io/api/mcp, with no trailing slash.

  2. Add it as a connector in Claude

Open the settings in Claude and go to Connectors → Add custom connector. Paste the link into the field and choose Connect.

  3. Sign in and approve the access

Claude sends you to Ajora to sign in. There you see exactly what you are approving: your calls and your debriefs. There is also a box for transcripts, which is unticked by default. Confirm, and Claude jumps back with the connection live.

  4. Ask your first question

Try something like "which calls did I have today?" Claude shows that it is using the Ajora connection and answers based on your own conversations.

Connecting Ajora to ChatGPT

ChatGPT works the same way, only the menu is called something else and you have to tell it which type of connection it is.

  1. Copy the same connection link

In the Ajora dashboard under Settings → Integrations, click Connect next to ChatGPT and copy the MCP link. It is the same link you use for Claude.

  2. Add it in ChatGPT

Go to Plugins → MCPs → Add → Connect to a custom MCP. Pick Streamable HTTP as the connection type, paste the link and save.

  3. Approve the access in Ajora

Just as with Claude, you sign in to Ajora and confirm what ChatGPT may see. The connection then appears in your list and you can start asking about your calls.

Never paste an API key (one starting with dbf_) into Claude or ChatGPT. Those keys belong to the API and webhooks and are meant for your own systems, not for a chat window. The MCP connection needs no key at all: you simply sign in.

What does Claude or ChatGPT actually get to see?

By default your call list and your debriefs: who you spoke to, when and for how long, plus the title, the summary, the action items, the decisions and the sentiment of the call. The word-for-word transcripts are left out by default and only travel along once you approve that separately.

The AI can request four things through the connection. It cannot do anything else with it.

What the AI can requestWhat it gets backOn by default
Look up your callsA list of calls, filterable from a start date, by status or by phone numberYes
Fetch one callThe details of a call: who, when, how long, over which channelYes
Fetch the debriefThe summary, the action items (and whether they are done), the decisions and the sentimentYes
Fetch the transcriptThe full, word-for-word record of the conversationNo, release separately

Is this safe?

You are granting access to your own AI assistant, on your own account, and you can withdraw it at any moment. Nothing goes to Claude or ChatGPT unless you ask for it.

You sign in, you do not paste a key

The connection runs through an Ajora sign-in screen. You never type a password or a key anywhere outside our own page.

Read only

The connection can look up and read calls. It cannot change, delete or send anything in your Ajora account.

Transcripts stay closed

The summary answers most questions. If you want the AI to read the word-for-word record as well, tick Transcripts when you approve. You can also do it later: turn on the transcripts switch under Settings → Integrations, then approve the connection again in Claude or ChatGPT.

Disconnect whenever you like

In the Ajora dashboard under Settings → Integrations, click Disconnect next to Claude or ChatGPT. From that moment the AI gets nothing.

What happens to your calls otherwise does not change because of this connection. We delete the audio automatically once it has been transcribed, within 24 hours at the latest. Your calls and debriefs are stored encrypted in Germany. That is explained on security.

Do bear in mind that through this connection your call content reaches Anthropic or OpenAI, because that is where the AI you are asking runs. If you handle sensitive customer data, check what your own agreements say about that first.

What if you do not use Claude or ChatGPT?

Then the API with webhooks is your route. It sends every debrief straight to your CRM, Slack or your own system, with no AI assistant involved.

Put simply: MCP is for when you want to ask something about your calls, the API is for when another system has to do something with them automatically. You can also use both at the same time. How the API works is in the Ajora API and webhooks.

Frequently asked questions about the Ajora MCP server

Do I need to be able to code to switch this on?

No. You copy a link from the Ajora dashboard, paste it into Claude or ChatGPT and sign in. No code involved.

Does this work with AI tools other than Claude and ChatGPT?

MCP is an open standard, so in principle any tool that supports MCP will work. We test and document Claude and ChatGPT; for the rest, you use the same link and the tool needs to support "Streamable HTTP".

Can the AI see my colleagues’ calls?

No. The connection only shows your own calls, also when you use Ajora with a team.

Does the AI get to hear my recordings?

No. The connection only passes on text, and we delete the audio once it has been transcribed. By default the AI gets the call details and the debrief. The word-for-word transcript only if you release it yourself.

How do I remove the connection?

Click Disconnect in the Ajora dashboard under Settings → Integrations. Remove it in Claude or ChatGPT as well, so the connector disappears from your list there too.

Does this work for in-person meetings too?

Yes. Meetings you capture in the app with In-person recording are included, and you can ask about them in the same way.

Is this included in my plan?

The connection to Claude and ChatGPT is part of the paid plans. It is not available during the free trial.
