About us
We could not find a tool that transcribed phone calls effortlessly and safely.
So we built it ourselves. Ajora writes out your phone calls and lines up your action items, so that after the call you know exactly what was agreed.
Why
The conversation is the work. The admin around it is not.
Advisers, brokers and account managers do their real work on the phone. That is where the decisions are made and where the nuance sits. Yet most of it disappears the moment the call ends, because taking notes during a call comes at the cost of actually listening.
Existing call recorders solved that with an archive full of audio. That is exactly what you do not want when a client tells you something in confidence. We turned it around: Ajora turns the call into a summary, action items and a searchable transcript, stored encrypted on European servers.
Where it started
Started as students, now full-time founders.
Ajora started in the Science-based Entrepreneurship course at Utrecht University. Our first ideas were in legal tech. We started DeepCase, an assistant inside Outlook for lawyers, and spoke with lawyers, legal directors and firms ranging from the Zuidas in Amsterdam to small practices across the country. We even ended up on the legal tech map, while our product was half working and we had no real users yet.
After a few pivots we landed on a problem we had ourselves: we could not get our phone calls transcribed easily and safely, and we could not find a tool that did it without hassle. So we built one. It worked well straight away, and that is when we thought: there is something here.
We already knew each other from the Business Informatics master and from the student tennis club. All three of us have graduated by now and work on Ajora full time: three good friends with different skills that complement each other.
The Playground, Utrecht University's centre for entrepreneurship, gives us coaching, and we received funding from them to build the idea out further and get the sharpest advice we could.

Privacy first, in everything we build
Your calls are yours. We collect only what we need to build your debrief, and if you cancel, all your data is gone immediately and in full.
European where we can, even when it costs more
Our servers are in Germany. For speech recognition we use a specialised provider. With every processor we work with, it is fixed in writing that your calls never train an AI model.
